Magazine Questionnaire
April is upon us, finally. March did not quite go out like a lamb, but warm weather is around the corner. In the library, we have enjoyed a successful visit with Bruce Hiscock, local author/illustrator; we also had our best year yet for the Scholastic Book Fair. Thank you so much to our students, parents, and the community at large for being so dedicated and enthusiastic about our Book Fair! Proceeds from the Book Fair are going to purchasing more books and library materials, some of which will grace our bookshelves very soon. These book fairs also make it possible for us to enjoy programs such as author visits. Thank you!!!
Interlibrary Loan requests have positively gone through the roof lately, and that is a good thing. As many of you are discovering, if we don't have a book, ask if we can get it from another library. In many cases, we can. In March, we borrowed over 30 items through Interlibrary Loan by student request (in the fall, we would average about one a month...that is an enormous jump!). This, of course, does not include the ILLs that come from book club requests and teacher requests. Keep asking...and we'll keep getting.
